高尿酸血症（hyperuricemia，HUA）通常与高脂血症、糖尿病、高血压等疾病共存，我国HUA的患病率逐年增高，并呈年轻化趋势，已成为仅次于糖尿病的第二大代谢性疾病，高原地区的患病率明显高于平原地区。而红细胞增多症是高原另一常见疾病，据研究高尿酸血症和红细胞增多症之间有很大的关系。
