当下，针对头颈胸部肿瘤放射性皮炎的治疗尚处于动态发展阶段。多项国内外研究结果指出，采用药物及物理治疗的方式，对加速创面愈合、缓解患者局部疼痛方面具有积极作用，可在一定程度上能有效改善患者的症状，也可显著促进皮损的恢复。不过目前这些治疗方式大多还停留在个人经验的阶段，尚缺少一套权威性标准化系统治疗放射性皮炎的模式。因此，对放疗后出现放射性皮炎的患者实施标准化系统治疗显得尤为重要，有必要系统推进相关的临床基础研究，为减轻患者的痛苦，制定出科学合理的防治标准化指南。
