半乳糖凝集素（Galectin）是一类可结合含β-半乳糖并具有识别结构域的凝集素的总称。慢性炎症是我们日常生活中常见的疾病问题，研究表明，多种Galectin成员在炎症的发病过程中有所表现。因此，探究Galectin在慢性炎症发病机制中的作用，有助于我们更深入地理解这一疾病，还有望减缓慢性炎症的进展、改善患者的症状。
