After nearly 20 years of development, Master of translation(MTI) education in Chinese universities although it has matured, there is still a certain gap with the current market demand in our country. There exists a situation where higher education and market demand are out of alignment. Through research, it has been found that Chinese higher education in translation master's programs focuses on training in translation knowledge and language skills, while the market demands that translation professionals possess proficiency in translation tools, software applications, and interpersonal communication skills. To align with market demand, Master of translation(MTI) education in Chinese universities should keep pace with the times and enhance students' professional qualities and translation software skills.
