With the rapid development of social economy in China, the market demand is increasing for professional talents, and higher vocational colleges, as the bases for cultivating applied talents, need to constantly improve the ways of higher vocational education. As one of the core courses in higher vocational education, English teaching has become more and more professional in higher vocational colleges. This paper first analyzes the current situation and existing problems of the professionalization of English teaching in higher vocational colleges, and then puts forward corresponding strategies in order to provide reference for improving the professionalization level of English teaching in higher vocational colleges.
