Mathematics and Applied Mathematics in colleges is one of the main cradles for cultivating talents in Mathematics. The teaching ability of normal students in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics is closely related to the Mathematics education of China. In order to effectively promote the growth of normal students majoring in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics and effectively promote the development of education in China, this paper starts from the current teaching situation of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics majors in colleges, and aims to use scientific and effective methods such as emphasizing ideal education and strengthening case teaching to enhance the professional literacy and teaching ability of normal students in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics majors in universities, and enrich the reserve of teaching skills
