A Study on the Psychological Control Sources of English Teachers in Vocational Undergraduate Universities

Teachers take education as their profession, and their emotions directly affect the emotions of students. If teachers are troubled by negative emotions such as anxiety and depression for a long time, their sense of professional happiness will decrease. When faced with educational work, it becomes difficult for them to show enough enthusiasm, and the teaching effect will also be affected. This study starts from the perspective of positive psychology and takes English teachers from 8 vocational undergraduate universities in our province as the research objects. Based on a questionnaire survey, the psychological locus of control scale is used to explore the psychological locus of control of these English teachers. Research has shown that the source of psychological control of vocational undergraduate English teachers tends to be internal, showing significant differences in gender and professional title variables, while there is no significant difference in marital status variable.
