For a long time, school education takes subject knowledge as the main teaching goal, and the traditional education mode will emphasize the role that teachers should lead the classroom. The primary school stage is also an important stage of human development and the most active stage of thinking development, which requires in-depth examination and continuous exploration by educators. Therefore, it is very important to cultivate students' creativity at this stage. In order to cultivate students 'creativity from various aspects, we should make full use of and give full play to the advantages of the subject at the critical moment of students' creativity development. The author takes the basic principles of creativity development and how to cultivate students 'creativity in primary school art education as the main research object, and takes the lesson of "Collage" as an example to study the methods and ways to strengthen and encourage students' creativity in art teaching.
