High school is an important period for students to establish lofty ambitions and choose the direction of their future career paths, and career planning is an important path and tool to help ordinary high school students achieve their career ideals. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 1,500 high school students in three grades of 10 ordinary high schools in Shaanxi Province to understand the current situation of their career planning. At present, the career planning of ordinary high school students in Shaanxi Province is at the lower middle level. In addition to the high level of self-awareness, the level of career cognition, career decision-making and career planning is low. Ordinary high school students show problems such as not knowing which careers are suitable for the future, insufficient career cognition, career decision-making being greatly influenced by the outside world, not being prepared for careers, unclear career goals, and insufficient career planning ability.
