Career adaptability is a psychological resource for individuals to deal with career events, which helps students accurately locate their career inclination and development direction, and helps them make more scientific choices and plan for the future according to their interests and abilities. Therefore, it is necessary to study career adaptability and its influencing factors. This study used Emotional Intelligence Scale, Achievement Motivation Scale and Career Resilience Scale to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and career resilience among 1014 primary school students in grades 3-6. The results show that emotional intelligence, achievement motivation and career adaptability have significant positive correlation. Emotional intelligence not only directly affects career adaptability, but also indirectly influences career adaptability through the mediating role of achievement motivation. It provides a reference for more comprehensive understanding of the influence mechanism of primary school students' career adaptability, career enlightenment and career counseling.
