With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, its application in the field of education is becoming more and more extensive. The purpose of this paper is to explore the innovation and application of teaching methods in the general education course of artificial intelligence, so as to promote students' in-depth understanding of the basic concepts and applications of artificial intelligence. This paper analyzes the limitations of traditional teaching methods and proposes a student-centered teaching model that emphasizes interaction and practicality. Next, this article introduces several innovative teaching methods, including case studies, project-driven learning, and the application of virtual reality technology, to improve student engagement and learning outcomes. Through empirical research, this paper demonstrates the effectiveness of these teaching methods in actual teaching, and looks forward to the development trend of artificial intelligence education in the future. Through this study, we expect to provide educators with new perspectives and methods to adapt to the new requirements of education in the era of artificial intelligence.
