文章摘要
The activity-based methodology stands at the heart of English education in general high schools, serving as a pivotal means to foster core competencies among students. Despite this, the design of writing activities may suffer from insufficient attention to guidance, progression, context, and logical coherence due to a superficial grasp of the curriculum objectives and the activity-based learning paradigm. This paper delves into the strategies for high school English writing instruction, grounded in the intrinsic features of English composition and the prevailing state of writing pedagogy. The aim is to enhance the efficiency of writing instruction in classrooms, cultivate a comprehensive linguistic proficiency in students, and ultimately advance the development of their core competencies.
