Implementation Path of Ideological and Political Education in Vocational English Courses in the New Liberal Arts Context

Vocational colleges bear the responsibility of cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents who are well-rounded in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education. As a compulsory course in general education at vocational colleges, vocational English (hereinafter referred to as VE) plays a crucial role in integrating ideological and political education(hereinafter referred to as IPE) with English teaching. This integration leverages the educational function of the English course, serving as an important measure for vocational colleges to fulfill the fundamental task of moral education. This paper starts with the necessity of integrating IPE into VE and, according to the new requirements for English teaching under the perspective of the new liberal arts(hereinafter referred to as NLA), explores the implementation path for integrating IPE into VE.
