Abstract: This article explores how the design of primary school mathematics homework tasks can effectively promote the improvement of students' self-learning ability from the perspective of educational practice. The article analyzes the methods of constructing homework tasks reasonably and reveals the relationship between homework design and students' autonomous learning ability through educational practice. This article aims to provide practical and feasible homework design strategies for teachers to better support students' self-directed learning, cultivate their problem-solving abilities and innovative thinking.
