Abstract: Under the background of the continuous and deep development of today's society, deepening education reform and constructing harmonious teacher-student relationship in colleges and universities in the new era have become major issues that need to be explored in the education industry. Based on the review of the macro environment in the new era, this study carries out a systematic and comprehensive analysis of the characteristics and influencing factors of teacher-student relationships in colleges and universities. Through in-depth analysis of the new characteristics of teacher-student relationships in colleges and universities in the context of the new era, as well as the complex impact of a variety of factors intertwined with each other, the study focuses on the construction of a harmonious teacher-student relationship for the college and university education to play a significant role. This study aims to break down the obstacles that may exist in the process of building harmonious teacher-student relationships, give full play to the positive role of harmonious teacher-student relationships in improving the quality of university education, and then create more favourable educational conditions for the overall development of students, and promote university education to move steadily in the direction of higher quality and more humanistic care.
