Abstract: In recent years, with the development of civil engineering education, the traditional experimental teaching system has become difficult to meet the industry's demand for high-quality talents. This article focuses on the reform and practice of the experimental teaching system in civil engineering majors, analyzes the problems existing in current experimental teaching, such as single teaching content and insufficient practical ability cultivation, and proposes systematic optimization and innovation strategies. By introducing diversified experimental content, strengthening the combination of practical teaching and engineering practice, and promoting the application of information technology teaching methods, innovative paths for experimental teaching in civil engineering majors have been explored. Research has shown that optimizing the experimental teaching system can significantly enhance students' engineering practice ability and innovation awareness, which is of great significance for the cultivation of civil engineering professionals.
