Abstract: This paper discusses the application and promotion strategy of big data technology in college education resource allocation. Firstly, the paper analyzes the role of data collection and data sources, including campus information system data, teaching and research data and student behavior data, and emphasizes the importance of optimizing the allocation of educational resources through data mining and analysis. Secondly, it expounds the key links of data processing and analysis, including data cleaning and preprocessing, the construction of data warehouse and data lake, and the application of data mining algorithms and models. This paper further introduces the application of prediction and optimization model in education resource allocation, such as demand prediction model, resource optimal allocation model and real-time monitoring and adjustment algorithm. Finally, this paper puts forward some strategies to improve the efficiency of college education resource allocation, including optimizing the resource allocation process, improving the data analysis ability and strengthening the supply chain management of education resources.
