Abstract: This study aims to analyze the path of integrating Chinese optimized traditional culture into English education in universities, in order to provide assistance for the subsequent development of English teaching in universities. The article first analyzes the necessity of integrating excellent traditional Chinese culture into English education in universities, and summarizes the reasons why excellent traditional Chinese culture cannot be deeply integrated into English education in universities based on the current teaching situation, in order to explore the future path of integrated education. Through the analysis of teaching examples, it can be concluded that integrating excellent traditional Chinese culture into English education in universities can promote excellent traditional Chinese culture and enhance students' cross-cultural communication skills. In subsequent teaching, teachers should continuously enhance their cultural literacy and improve their teaching evaluation methods to stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning Chinese traditional culture, improve their cross-cultural communication skills and ability to spread Chinese traditional culture, and better showcase China's excellent traditional culture to the world in English.
