Reengineering of the Collaborative Training Process for Rural Teachers in Chinese Local Normal Universities

Abstract: To comprehensively advance rural revitalization, education must take the lead, and a high-quality rural teacher workforce is key to revitalizing rural education. As the main body responsible for training rural teachers, local normal universities should assume the crucial role of advancing the professional development of rural teachers. Under China's rural revitalization strategy, how local normal universities can collaboratively cultivate localized rural teachers has become a critical issue they face. In the process of serving local development, the U-G-S-T Collaborative Education Platform for Rural Teachers has been established in Hebei Normal University based on process reengineering theory. This platform optimizes the collaborative education process, facilitates the smooth flow of educational resources, including people, finance, materials, and information between urban and rural areas, and promotes an integrated strategy for rural teachers' admission, education, graduation, and employment. This approach aims to advance the coordinated development of higher education and basic education.
