Abstract: Smart education is an education development trend in the field of education in various countries in today's information technology and intelligent transformation to adapt to the development of The Times. Based on the perspective of smart education, the development of smart teaching in our country ushers in a new opportunity. This paper makes an in-depth discussion on the development status, challenges and future trends of smart teaching in China. Under the dual role of policy guidance and technology empowerment, China's smart teaching has made remarkable progress, greatly improving the quality and efficiency of teaching. However, challenges such as uneven technical infrastructure, data privacy and security issues, and differences in the adaptability of teachers and students during the implementation of smart teaching also hinder the future development of this education. In the future, with the further innovation and development of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality, smart teaching will also move towards a more intelligent, personalized and diversified direction.
