Path Exploration on College English Teaching Model Innovation Based on the Idea of OBE

Abstract: With the renewal of educational idea and the reform of teaching models, college English teaching model innovation based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) has gradually become the focus of attention in the field of education. This paper expounds the educational concept based on OBE, analyzes the significance of college English teaching model innovation, and probes into the paths and implementation strategies of college English teaching model innovation based on OBE. The research shows that the key paths are to crystallize the teaching objectives, optimize the course system and teaching content and innovate teaching methods and means and the effective implementation strategies are to build a pluralistic teaching evaluation system, strengthen the construction of teachers, improve students’ self-learning ability and strengthen school-enterprise cooperation and practice teaching. This study provides useful references for college English teaching model innovation in China.
