With the continuous progress and development of educational technology, the application of new media technology in the field of education is gradually becoming more active. People are paying more and more attention to the integration between new media and university courses, which enables new breakthroughs in educational activities, content, and methods. At the same time, the application of new media technology in teaching courses has gradually promoted the reform of education courses. College English teachers should gradually master new media technology, enhance the correlation and connection between English curriculum education and new media technology, build modern English classrooms, and improve the efficiency and level of English language education. This article focuses on the current situation of English language education in universities, analyzes the advantages of applying new media technology in English language education, explores ways to improve the English language education model in universities from the perspective of new media, and provides reference for university education.
