In people's traditional perception, during economic downturns, the arts field often becomes the primary choice for budget cuts. At the same time, due to the current tense economic situation and serious educational competition, students' learning pressure is constantly increasing, which also leads to further compression of the already tight music learning time. By consulting relevant literature, it can be understood that many music institutions and groups at home and abroad are facing a certain "survival crisis", and the development of music education work has also been "neglected" to a certain extent. The reason behind this phenomenon is thought-provoking: what is the relationship between the popularization of music education and the level of economic development? Based on this, this article mainly conducts in-depth research on the relationship between the popularization of music education and the level of economic development. Furthermore, this article summarizes the methods for improving the popularization rate of music education in the context of overall economic development, such as strengthening teachers, enhancing cooperation, and applying information technology. The aim is to achieve the goal of harmonious development in China's economy, politics, culture, and society through the research in this article.
