Nowadays, with the rapid development of globalization and the increasing communication between countries, intercultural competence has become a crucial competency. In the context of promoting the reform of the higher education system, inter-university exchange programs have received extensive attention and become an important way for students to have an international perspective. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the connotation of intercultural competence and the impact of inter-university exchange programs on the cultivation of students' intercultural competence, and summarize the path of cultivating students' intercultural competence, so as to promote the internationalization of colleges and universities.
