In foreign language teaching, teacher talk is essential for organizing instruction, conveying knowledge, and providing comprehensible input. Walsh’s (2006) SETT framework offers a valuable tool for evaluating teacher talk and support English teachers’ professional development. This study analyzes the interaction modes and features of English teacher talk in senior high school based on the SETT framework to identify issues and propose optimization strategies to enhance effectiveness of English education.
