The "Mathematics Perspective" module, as a distinctive element of primary school mathematics education, utilizes real-world contexts as a medium to cultivate core mathematical competencies. This approach guides students in applying their knowledge to solve practical problems within authentic settings, thereby demonstrating both the practical value of mathematics education and its role in developing mathematical thinking. Insights from Professor Wu Zhengxian’s lesson on the "Tree-Planting Problem" indicate that employing instructional strategies—such as creating an inclusive classroom environment to stimulate mathematical thinking, encouraging independent exploration to foster mathematical reasoning, and expanding real-world applications to strengthen mathematical literacy—can serve as effective means to enhance the quality of mathematics instruction.
