Nowadays, college students have become a prominent part of China's vast employment population. They are trapped in the dilemma of being "too high to achieve" and "too low to accept," leading to a series of issues such as unemployment immediately after graduation. This study conducted a quantitative survey on college students' perceptions of employment expectations and employment competence, revealing that their expectations for employment benefits are the highest, employment matching expectations are at a moderate level, and the average expectations for employment reputation are the lowest. It also systematically examined the impact of professional identity, career decision-making self-efficacy, psychological resilience, and social support on "perceptions of employment competence." Finally, based on the research findings, practical reference suggestions are provided.
