文章摘要
In the second stage of primary education, mathematics teaching serves the important function of bridging the development of students' mathematical thinking and abilities. Taking the "Rectangles and Squares" unit as an example, this content not only marks the starting point for students to transition from intuitive perception to rational analysis of geometric figures but also is closely related to previously and subsequently learned topics such as simple shape recognition, perimeter, and area calculation. The third grade represents a critical period in which students' thinking shifts from concrete imagery to preliminary abstraction. Guided by the concept of core competencies, the holistic design and implementation of large-unit teaching can assist students in systematically establishing cognitive structures for shapes, thereby promoting the synergistic development of spatial awareness and reasoning abilities. This paper explores large-unit teaching oriented toward core competencies and, using the "Rectangles and Squares" unit from the second volume of the third grade of the People's Education Press edition as a case study, illustrates how integrated learning tasks can cultivate students' sense of quantity, geometric intuition, and reasoning awareness.
