文章摘要
This paper focuses on cultivating and guiding self-directed learning strategies for university English courses among art students. It first outlines relevant theories on self-directed learning, then analyzes the current state of English learning among art students, including issues such as weak foundational skills, insufficient motivation, and inefficient time allocation. Subsequently, it proposes cultivation and guidance strategies from three aspects: teacher guidance, student self-effort, and institutional support. These include teachers shifting their roles, guiding students in planning, and fostering a conducive learning environment, all aimed at enhancing art students' capacity for self-directed English learning.
