In the process of constantly promoting the new curriculum reform in modern society, many novel education and teaching concepts have been created, and cognitive load theory is one of them. This paper analyses high school biology teaching, elaborates on the cognitive load theory, and puts forward suggestions on how the theory can guide effective teaching, which provides a certain reference for promoting the improvement of the quality and level of high school biology classroom teaching.
