National festivals are a carrier of national culture and a symbol of national identity, which contain traditional customs, religious beliefs, moral ethics and other cultural elements accumulated by the nation's long-term history and development. Celebrating national festivals gives full expression of national culture and emotions. Ireland has a long history, where a variety of important festivals are celebrated every year. These festivals have also become an integral part of Irish culture, attracting tourists from all over the world. Taking St. Patrick’s Day and Halloween as examples, the paper will make a full introduction of Irish national festivals.
