文章摘要
Stizzoso, mio stizzoso is a classic aria in the two act comedy opera Maid the Butler created by Italian composer Pelgrasi. The emergence of this two act opera marks the formal emergence of comedy opera as a new musical genre in the public eye. This opera is based on the daily life scenes and stories of secular civilians, using simple dialogue and easy to understand melodies to directly stimulate the emotions of the audience. Stizzoso, mio stizzoso is an aria by the female protagonist Serpina of this opera. She uses her intelligent and playful personality traits to express her love for the count through strict control. The melody is light and lively, and the lyrics are catchy, with a strong comedic color. This paper will discuss the aria from three aspects: background, character development, and singing techniques, in order to better understand Serpina’s character and present the work.
