Abstract: The emergence of new media dance has further brought the specific expression forms, artistic carriers and aesthetic concepts of traditional dance into a new field. The perfect combination of traditional dance and new media technology makes dance art more expressive and artistic charm. It not only retains the artistic attributes of traditional dance, but also makes traditional dance have new characteristics. At the same time, it integrates with new high-tech elements and realizes the innovation of form and content. This analysis and research starts from the overview of new media dance, expounds the artistic form and characteristics of new media dance and the communication strategy of new media dance, breaks the traditional dance creation mode on the basis of understanding the characteristics of new media dance art, and hopes to play a certain role in the dissemination of new media dance. At present, domestic scholars have done more research on the characteristics of new media art, so they have supplemented the communication strategy of strengthening new media dance.
