Abstract: Within the framework of Transknowletology studies, translation embodies the universal identification issue of local knowledge. The English translation of culturally-loaded words in literary works constitutes a significant aspect of the transition from local to global knowledge. Enhancing the translation quality of culturally-loaded words is a crucial step for literature to reach a global audience. Lu Xun’s novel My Old Home contains numerous culturally-loaded words that are deeply rooted in the era and national characteristics. This paper, from the perspective of knowledge translation studies, analyzes the translation of culturally-loaded words in the English version of My Old Home, exploring how translators undergo knowledge transformation in the translation process to achieve the knowledge-based translation and dissemination of culture.
