Korean film and television dramas were born in the 1960s, and since their emergence, they have embarked on a path of prosperity and development. On February 21, 2011, the TV drama Home Temptation remade from South Korea’s Temptation of Wife was launched and broadcast on Hunan TV. As of the end of the first round of screening, the drama broke the ratings record of the Korean drama Dae Jang-Geum, and the protagonist characters Shixian Hong and Pinru Lin still sparked a craze on major online video platforms by 2022. In 2013, the Korean dramas The Heirs and My Love from the Star once again sparked the trend of “Hallyu” in China, attracting a large number of viewers to watch and like Korean dramas. In 2016, Descendants of the Sun was first broadcast on the online video platform iQiyi in the form of “China and South Korea co-broadcast”. during the 24 hours of series online, iQiyi platform received over 30 million views.
