文章摘要
Entering the 20th century, the society has undergone radical changes in the process of industrial development. At the same time, traditional culture and values were also shaken, and modernism swept through the European art world, with various art genres being born continuously. Against this background, the Surrealism movement liberated people's minds with a highly subversive attitude. Surrealists disdained rationalism and realist literature and tried to unleash the energy of imagination by connecting to the unconscious. They believed that the rational mind fettered the imagination and needed to suppress reason with taboos. The birth of surrealism has its time background and philosophical basis of attribution, and its representative figures are Miro, Masson, Dalí and so on.
