Kolja: a sociological analysis of family roles and identity

Sociology is the science of human society and behavior, and film, as a social phenomenon, has attracted extensive attention in sociological research. This paper selects the Czech film Kolja, the best foreign language film of the 1996 Oscars, as a case study, and analyzes the issues of family role remodeling, gender role dynamics, and identity in Kolja from a sociological point of view, exploring how these elements work together in the relationship between the individual and the society as well as their evolution and significance in modern society.
