文章摘要
The concept of mind style has attracted much attention since it was first proposed by Fowler(1977). It has been elaborated by various schools of linguistics. This paper, starting from Langacker's (2008) cognitive grammar and combining with the corpus, takes Sylvia Plath's novel The Bell Jar as an example to analyze the characters' mind styles and explore the social significance of the novel, with a view to deepening the overall research on mind styles.
