Yameng Zhang

The nineteenth-century piano work "The Lark" is adapted by Balakirev according to the ninth "The Lark" in the vocal cycle "A Farewell to Saint Petersburg" by Mikhail Glinka, an outstanding Russian musician. The work adopts the form of variations, attaching the vivid image of The Lark to the notes, making the melodious melody instrumented, and showing the simple character of the Russian nation.
