文章摘要
A House for Mr Biswas is a long novel by Nobel Prize-winning author V.S Naipaul, which is based on its unique socio-cultural context and the author's father's own experiences. The house in the title of the novel is always a major clue throughout the work. As a place, the house is connected with "place" and has its own rich cultural connotation. This paper aims to study the relationship between people and place in the work from the perspective of spatial geography, and to explore how Naipaul, as a post-colonial writer, demonstrates the protagonist's quest for a sense of place and the implied issue of personal identity in his work.
