To propose a design idea combining AHP hierarchical analysis and shape grammar, aiming to promote the integration of Jingsha mortise and tenon woodcarving craft with modern products, and to practice the design with a weeder as an example. The features of Jingsha mortise and tenon woodcarving are sorted out through literature research and investigation; AHP is applied to determine the feature weights and screen the representative artistic features; Shape Grammar is used to innovatively transform and deduce the features to form a new graphic and apply it to product design. The feasibility and effectiveness of the innovative design method of Jingsha mortise and tenon wood carving based on AHP and shape grammar are verified, which provides a new path for the combination of traditional craft and modern design.
