Education is the foundation of national and ethnic development, and talent is the core of education. As an important base for cultivating talents, universities should be based on the current social reality, strengthen the cultivation of students' logical thinking ability, and thereby enhance their comprehensive quality and ability level. From the current situation of talent cultivation in universities, most universities in China have varying degrees of deficiencies in talent cultivation, which also poses certain obstacles to students' learning of logical thinking. Therefore, universities must attach great importance to the cultivation of students' logical thinking in talent cultivation. By combining professional knowledge with logical thinking, they can promote the transformation and deepening of students' thinking, thereby improving their awareness and level of logical thinking. This article analyzes the significance of cultivating the logical thinking ability of college students, explores the problems existing in the teaching practice of logical thinking in universities, and proposes corresponding optimization strategies, in order to provide reference and guidance for talent cultivation in Chinese universities.
