Preschool education emphasis on music education as it has the potential of not only enhancing children’s musical literacy but also allows them develop their emotional, aesthetic, and imaginative skills through music. Therefore, this research is focused at investigating the methods and practical approaches that are employed in music education within the context of multiple cultures, particularly using preschool education students in normal universities. To begin with, the study examines the role and value of musical literacy and, at the same time, music education from a cross-cultural standpoint is elaborated on. After this, in terms of the teaching planning, the research proposes to involve global musical elements into the educational process so as to reinforce intercultural awareness and skills of the students. In the end, through classroom experimentation and field research, the investigation showed that the musical literacy of the students of preschool education and the capacity for them to get acquainted with other cultural heritage were effectively improved. Furthermore, the cross-cultural perspective of music education contributes to the rise of qualified preschool education specialists with a global worldview, which plays a significant role in promoting modernization of preschool education in China. Consequently, the research results are significant to how music lessons are going to be organized and conducted in the preschool sector.
